Happy Easter!!! We had a great day today! We woke up at 8 and had a nice breakfast that Brian made...it was german pancakes...Yummy! Brian had a wild idea to buy his stepmom, Janet, a puppy...so last night at 9:45 we trekked out to Herriman to pick up a maltipoo. He is such a cute little guy....anyway...we went to deliver her Easter Basket this morning. She was so excited! Then we went home and got ready for church....We were all ready and looking great and sent the kids out so we could take their pictures. So one of the kids, any guesses who it was...decided to turn over the rug on the sidewalk and look for bugs....UGHHHHH, in his nice easter outfit!! Did I mention that it was Jax...the 4 year old clone of his father who gets into everything!!!! So needless to say we were late to church not that we would have been on time anyway but it was just one more reason we were late! After church we went to Grandma Mimi's to have dinner. We had a Great Easter!

Well, to add to the craziness of planning a funeral and going to the funeral the kids had their school play...and as they say "the show must go on!" Brianne and Jarron performed the day we laid grandpa pop to rest and they did an amazing job...I know Pop would have been proud! The play was Beauty and the Beast. They performed 3 nights in a row and it was an amazing show for an elementary school...we love Rosecrest and the great job the staff and parent volunteers do to make our school great! The opening night we voted on the new PTA board which includes me as co PTA president elect which means I will be PTA pres in 2010...hooray for me! I am excited, I think it will be great fun!

After a sad and crazy week we had with the death of grandpa pop and his funeral we started a new week with Baby J's First Birthday!! It is a tradition in ouf family starting with my mom's first birthday, to have the birthday boy/girl get their own cake...chocolate of course! I have pictures of me with my own cake and each of our kids have had their own as well.

J had a great time diggin' into his cake...he had frosting head to toe and then he started "sharing" with everyone! Good Times!!!

This past Friday we lost our Granpa Pop....He was a wonderful man who we all loved very much!! He and Marianne had 8 kids who he taught to be honest, hard working and faithful. I am proud to have been married to one for almost 13 years now!! We will miss you and we love you, Grandpa Pop!

In between going to the hospital, keeping up the house, getting the kids to and from school and working at the school, I have found time to make a few bags!!! The pink and black one I made for Jodi...the flower one that Brianne is holding, I made for Alex...not to carry but for his auction at his school for his People to People fundraiser! I also made two other ones for Brianne's friends for their birthdays. I think they turned out cute and they are pretty fast and easy to make! Let's face it that is about all I can handle right now!

WOW!!! It seems like I have been gone from this blog forever....for those of you who don't know my mom had a stroke at the beginning of December. Things have been pretty surreal since then! We have been living a crazy life since then. You never know what you have until you lose it!!! Mom is in the hospital still and probably will be there for quite awhile...if you are interexted I have started a blog for her...www.zmudafamily.blogspot.com... I have spent most of my blogging time updating that blog and have neglected my own! Well hopefully I can divide my time between them both now!

SOCCER CHICKS!!!

Brianne and Brooklynn both played soccer again this fall...they love it!!
Brianne has played with the same team for 3 years now and this is Brooklynn's second year and their teams kick butt!!!

HALLOWEEN!!!!

This year halloween was so warm, the kids were all dying of heat in their costumes! Well it took awhile for Jarron to decide what he wanted to be...actually it was me....he wanted to be a mad scientist but it took me forever to look for the costume and by the time i got around to it i couldn't find anything...oh well!! He decided scream was cool cuz he didn't have to wear any makeup....Brooklynn wore 3 different costumes....two different ones to different parties and then she decided to be an injured soccer player...easy and cheap for me...she already had the soccer uniform....Brianne decided to be medusa last year....her hair was awesome....Jax was a dragon...he wanted to be a lion/tiger/bear all in one and then he wanted to be a hippo...but i convinced him to borrow this costume....Baby J was a bear and the cutest little bear ever!!!

Well my life got away from me again and i have not been able to update my blog as much as i would like....so here are a few things that happened last month...
Jax FINALLY had his birthday!!! We had his first friend party and it was a costume party. I think there are a few more costume parties to come in the future, since his birthday is oct 28th....he and his friends had a lot of fun playing games and decorating their own cupcakes...every time someone came in Jax would ask "where is the present?" not "where is MY present?" i thought that was cute....

This weekend Brian and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary!!! Whoo Hoo! We didn't really think much about our wedding date at the time but our anniversary usually falls on conference weekend....so we went to dinner on Friday night...Brianne babysat....it is so nice to have an older child!!! Saturday was also Baby J six month birthday!! I can't believe he is six months old already...time flies when you're havin' fun!!!

So the other day I was telling Brian some of the funny things Jax says......I could barely get through them all I was laughing so hard I was crying!!!!
I told Jax that he had to look both ways before he can cross the street.....so we had parked across the street from my mom's and he said "WAIT, mom I will look sideways before we cross the street"!!!!!
I said Jax just climb under baby J's carseat and duck so you don't hit your head....now every time he gets in the car he says "Mom I will act like a duck, quack, quack, quack....."
Last Thursday we got the new phone books from qwest....so I put the phone books away and Jax got the flyer from the bag with the qwest logo on it and came running to me waving the flyer....."MOM, MOM, now we are in the loop"

Fun Family Weekend

So we had a fun weekend...Brian's sisters came in from out of town and we had a baby shower for Robyn. She is due in November and looks way cute!!! We also decided to take family pictures at a friend's cabin. Although our family pictures didn't turn out so well....we had an uncooperative 3 year old....so much for precious memories!!! We did have Andrew take some nice pictures of Brian and me...we haven't had our picture taken together for a long time...I think they turned out very good.....Of course Brianne and Brooklynn wanted to "pose" like models and Andrew got some great shots of them....I can't believe how fast they are growing...pretty soon we will be taking High School graduation pictures and Bridal pictures.....We tried to take the boys' pictures but they were not having anything to do with it....they wanted to throw rocks in the river...oh yeah and spit in it!!!
